Post-Nature stands alone as a unique exploration of sound
For anyone vaguely interested in experimental electronica, this debut full-length from Melbourne-based minimal producer Lucianblomkamp is a must grab. The record ebbs and flows between challenging, throbbing, almost static-driven hip hop pulses and soulful, melancholic jams. The earliest Four Tet records are an obvious and worthwhile comparison point, yet Post-Nature stands alone as a unique exploration of sound. With sounds as confident as these, the guest appearances from numerous MCs and singers are actually detrimental to the overall record, yet not so much as to ruin the experience for anyone with open ears.
