This is not just an album. It’s an inner-child healing experience.

More Little Green More Little Green

After two EPs and a few singles under her belt, Sydney-based singer-songwriter Little Green is set for a successful debut album, ‘little star.’

This album takes listeners on a spiritual journey through the nomadic songwriter’s inquisitive mind and unique perspective on the world. Dinner with the Moon explores Little Green’s take on the sometimes strange way humans behave by becoming so intimately close to another and then never speaking to that person again.

The album kicks off with the beautiful piano sounds of little star, which blends perfectly into the voice and melodies that remain present and captivating throughout the entire album. With a short duration of 01:30 in play length, it sets the scene for the listener’s experience, flowing right into Shooting Stars, where Little Green reminisces about her childhood.

Produced by Garrett Kato, the album was recorded in six days, so most of the songs are live takes, which only adds to the listener’s experience. It allows you to immerse yourself in Little Green’s world, which combines well with the personal experiences shared in the songwriting itself.

This album also serves as a connection between Little Green and her fans. During the Covid lockdown, Little Green started a ‘song a day’ challenge on Instagram, inviting fans to comment on single words or phases. She chose all the galaxy-themed songs from that challenge for this beautiful collection, making this release even more special.

This multi-instrumental album features the perfect combination of Little Green’s angelic voice, flute, sax, guitar, piano, and bass. It’s the album you could listen to on a road trip in nature or have as background music while getting things done around the home. It makes you want to run free amongst a fairy garden.

The album ends with galaxies, another shorter play length, where the piano melodies shine through, ending the listening experience on the same note we started with little star. This is not just an album; it’s an inner-child healing experience.

Little Green’s debut album, little star, is out on Feb 3, launching at the Oxford Art Factory. You can purchase tickets here
