Newcastle based legend ONE NIL creates big beats from his home. He’s had some of his stuff in the past be put out through the likes of NO BRAINER RECORDS, TOP BILLIN’ and DISCOBELLE.
He’s hard at work, and it’s pretty evident that he’s putting in the hard yards by just looking through his Soundcloud feed. He’s constantly putting out new work, and it’s killer work at that.
His latest efforts is his take on WORDLIFE’s single ‘Breakthrough’. He’s put an absolutely huge spin on it, one that puts heavy emphasis on the warped bass aspect of the tune. It’s bouncy and is guaranteed to get you off your feet.
The production is daring, and fits well in his bass-oriented aesthetic as a producer. It’s been processed and mashed up to come out of the other side looking like this sleek, chrome track that sounds so metallic, yet feels so smooth.
ONE NIL has essentially heightened and flipped WORDLIFE’s track to suit his own vibe. And nonetheless, it works so well.
