Rising star Villette shares a new and confident new single titled 'If You Go', which she wrote, produced and performed on her own.

VILLETTE seemingly does it all, and her latest single 'If You Go' is no exception. She's written, produced and performed the track herself, adding to an already impressive catalogue of musical achievements.

'If You Go' is smooth and powerful. Her voice shines over a smoky blend of RnB, soul and electronic elements. Her influence from hip hop is clear in her bravado and rolling triplet hi hats.

Clearly confident, Villette comes into her own on this track, as can be heard from her fierce lyrics. "You can't sit with us/You can't hit with us/and fuck that other girl I'm so much better," She boasts - and rightly so. At just 21 she's got a set of her own impressive releases. She's produced beats for fellow New Zealander Tapz and had a successful career as a club DJ. To top it all off, she's been flying to LA to record in studios that once upon a time Michael Jackson used to record in - just casually.

So sure of her career in music, Villette dropped out of high school aged 16 to study electronic music production. Pursuing her love for hip hop, she wanted to be producing beats, not just recording on them. Clearly it's paid off. She's supported Sampology, Kid Kenobi and Hucci as well as her Valve Sounds label mate UV Boi on his national tour. Keep both eyes firmly locked on Villette, she's only going up!
