Live Review: LISTEN: Trippy Turtle 'Wet'

Trippy Turtle has released his new track appropriately titled 'Wet'.

Self-described with the tracks own lyrics as "wetter than a waterpark", 'Wet' certainly does make you feel like you're immersed in a body of sonic water, though doesn't maintain any sort of consistency within the current. This is due to the abundance of different chapters TRIPPY TURTLE creates within the track's realm.

From the solitude of the female vocalist opening the track to the punchy synth-laden orchestra at the prime of 'Wet', it's hard to tell if Trippy Turtle has successfully employed an array of technique or has really just slipped by pronouncing too many different styles within the shell of this five minute track.

What he has done though is instrumentally accomplished the theme, paying homage to the title of the track and his watery nature, thanks to the moisturised beats, splashy synths and bubbly sample droplets that continue to drip like a tap throughout the entirety of 'Wet'.

Trippy Turtle has dedicated 'Wet' to his FoFoFadi comrade Drippy Dolphin. Here's hoping we'll one day get to meet a Slippy Sealion and Flippy Flamingo!
