Admittedly, the first time I listened to this nifty tune I was eating corn chips and my loud crunching drowned out any traces of what I would soon find to be an unabashedly 'cool' song.
However on a somewhat guilty second listen, I discovered what I would have the first time, if I were not so eager in my munching. TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS in some of the best synth pop I've heard in a very long time.
New release 'Stronger' is totally unassuming; which is kind of the best thing about it. ORLANDO draws you in with his rad vocals, and keeps you around with some catchy electronica sounds. And it's not really wanky, the way I find a lot of 'synth' songs, which is a huge bonus for me. I don't feel like I've just been plunged into a synthesizer operated by someone on LSD, I feel like each quirky note was meticulously thought out, the result being a catchy, excellent, accessible track.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs have it going on, and the new track 'Stronger' isn't an exception. The track is sitting happily on new album 'Trouble', which comes out June 11.
