Melbourne based producer TIBER has delivered a tasty, slowed down re-interpretation of JOHNNY THIRD'S track 'Quick Love.' Whilst Tiber is still relatively under the radar, he's definitely someone that we see blowing up in a big way. You may even remember a guest mix he did for our Purple Sneakers click programme a few months back. One thing we can definitely say about Tiber is that he's playing with some incredibly interesting samples and really pushing the boundaries of genre thanks to the absolutely beauty laid down by Johnny Third.
The original track is incredibly catchy, and upbeat. It's always interesting to see how artists will reinterpret a track when they deliver a remix. What Tiber has delivered is a down tempo, glitchy version with a bit of a brooding atmosphere. Opening with a dark and heavily stylised vocal and supported by a slow and steady percussion, electronic flourishes come in slowly to build up to the drop. As the percussion builds up, so too does the the drama of the drop. It's safe to say that Tiber's take on the track is quite emotional and fair bit more glitchy. Whilst 'Quick Love' definitely crosses into EDM territory, the glitchy electronica injects an underground feel.
Tiber's remix of Johnny Third's tune 'Quick Love' is available on Thursday April 6th. If you're lucky, you may be able to hear this tasty remix in all its glory, when Johnny Third tours Australia later this month. For more details on that, head here.
