You can see why Stanislav Nozdrachov from Golaya Pristan chose to give himself a stage name. Known as The Madison, the Ukrainian has been churning out the kind of sweet nostalgic trance and house that could only come from Eastern Europe.

‘Closer To You’ seems to have dropped in from outer space with mystical female vocals and a familiar undulating house beat. Raise your hands if you’d rather be on a Balearic boat party!

The track is an evolution of EBM sound (electronic body music), the post-industrial synth trance that originated in the quaint back alleys of Belgium, and with a hook as gentle and faraway as this, you’d hope that The Madison would be able to calm any manner of political unrest in Donetsk.
