Almost-all female Sydney band THE FABERGETTES (drummer/token male Marten Culity doesn't get in on the photos) are a rocking retro-garage four piece who've created some pretty rad music.
Headed by ex-Cuthbert and the Nightwalkers member Nat Martin, the addition of Bec Allen on bass, Cipi Morgan on guitar and glock, and Martin Culity on drums and whistle, give THE FABERGETTES a highly unique sound. Every now and then a band comes along that have a really distinctive style and make waves with their music. THE FABERGETTES are one of these, an updated throwback to old school 60s rock with rapid percussion, saucy vocals, surfy guitars, and a whole lot of sass.
Together now for just a year, the band have released only two singles but have been busy playing live gigs around local venues and had been slated to play at Sydney’s Playground Weekender Festival. While that hasn't panned out, with the festival's cancellation, you can still catch them at Goodgod Small Club this Friday 9th March for the launch of their debut EP and a night of sweet, sweet music.
