Live Review: LISTEN: The Black Keys - 5 El Camino Tracks

Listen to 5 new tracks from The Black Keys new album El Camino due out on Friday

The ever-giving pair Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys have provided us with the opportunity to buy a used van, dance inspiration through their ‘Lonely Boy’ video and countless more giggles in the lead up to the release of their album El Camino.  Now to add to the list of things to get us excited about the album’s release this Friday 6th December, 5 new tracks from El Camino are available to stream.

The tracks indicate that the pair have ditched the sheen from their previous album Brothers and replaced it with garage grit.  The funk still remains, but the volume is cranked up and how Carney’s drum kit manages to survive the trashing it cops remains a mystery. All this said, an apparent 60’s Motown influence, choruses catchier than the last and shamefully enjoyable hand-claps makes El Camino a surprising dance floor hit.
