Live Review: Shygirl recruits Boys Noize and LSDXOXO for irresistible 'Tasty' remixes
Shygirl has tapped both Boys Noize and LSDXOXO for two very different but irresistible remixes of her latest single, 'Tasty'.
Fresh from the release of an official video for her latest single, 'TASTY', Shygirl has gifted us with two very special remixes of the piano-driven track, lifted from her impeccable 2020 EP, ALIAS. Shygirl has continued to elevate herself as a creative force on the rise, and these latest releases courtesy of Boys Noize and LSDXOXO only prove that even further.
Boys Noize's rework sees him deliver his classic treatment, amplifying the piano foundations of the track while spinning it into an uplifting house dream. On a winning streak at the moment with some exceptional remixes released in just the last 12 months alone for the likes of Lady Gaga, Omar Souleyman and Willaris. K, there's a reason Boys Noize remains once of dance music's most prominent figures and continues to never, ever miss whether its on his own productions or taking over someone else's. The Boys Noize Records head honcho delivers not just one remix either, but also an Extended Dub, so there is plenty to dive into.
Following these, LSDXOXO provides a change of pace, stepping away from that piano-house flavour and instead opts for a meditative, looped cut primed for a heaving dancefloor. The Berlin-via-NYC producer's handiwork is the perfect pairing for Shygirl's seductive vocals, and as the track ups the ante before fading out, you can envision a popping club going off to the bass and eclectic glitchy bleeps and bloops.
