Sam Weston has scored an eccentric remix of his track 'Don't Save Face' by Ross From Friends, all to whet your appetite for his forthcoming EP
South-London’s ROSS FROM FRIENDS not only has a penchant for incredible pseudonyms, but also intricate musicianship and punchy beats. Remixing SAM WESTON’s track ‘Don’t Save Face’, the tune is an eight-minute soundscape of charm.
Originally a thirteen-minute epic from Australian producer Sam Weston, Ross From Friends has shortened and sharpened the track, whilst ensuring that the original’s clever coolness remains intact.
The entirety of the song is used to explore the balance between refinery and ampleness. There are moments that go completely quiet, and although they are only short, their stark contrast to the rest of the song’s fullness and warmth is attention grabbing. The track is a galaxy of sound and samples.
