She’s been vocally compared to the likes of Kate Bush, but her sound is the exact opposite. SAAL’s got an incredibly well hindered agenda within her sound, and it’s one that comes across as so individual.
It’s got a real techno vibe to it, but comes across as more like HEALTH than techno. We’re super stoked to be premiering the UK gal’s debut single ‘Signs’, and to be hearing such a diverse, well rounded sound from a new artist.
The track itself feels naturally curious, delving deep into the depths of unknown territory and emerging this amalgamation of thrashed yet delicate sounds. It’s complex, and I think that’s why it most particularly stands out.
It feels quite intergalactic, a soundtrack to a space voyage if you will, and I guess you could say it’s definitely out of this world. If this single is any indication of where SAAL’s heading, we’re so keen to hear what’s going to be next for the artist.
