'Lose Again' was the first tease of LINDEN JAY’s debut album, teaming up with iconic vocalist SHOLA AMA to create a RnB/garage crossover to great acclaim. Now, Linden Jay has decided to tease us further with an official remix of his track.
He's invited ROM to take a turn at his collaboration and with great success. ROM’s remix keeps the heart of the track, maintaining the vocals and message of the song yet flipping it into something dreamier. ROM has slowed the tempo, added guitar strums and melodic synths. Pushing Linden Jay’s RnB experiment even further, ROM honours Shola Ama’s tight vocals yet builds an incredibly bouncy beat to keep us bopping.
The track very importantly still honours the lyrics, which Shola wrote with Linden Jay in the studio, after telling him about a fraught situation with a guy. Linden and Shola have been friends for many years after meeting when he played drums for one of her London shows when he was 17.
'Lose Again' is only the first release from Linden Jay’s upcoming, yet-to-be-titled debut album out on 100FT, but we're hoping this isn't the last time all three of these artists meet.
