Live Review: Phoria 'Evolve' as they get closer to releasing their debut album

Having released two EP's PHORIA are finally releasing their debut album Volition. 'Evolve' is the third single to be taken from it.

Brighton's PHORIA have made a name for themselves as one of UK's leading up and comers. The band is comprised of Trewin Howard (vocals/production), Jeb Hardwick (guitar), Ed Sanderson (piano/synth), Seryn Burden (drums) and Tim Douglas (bass/synth), which makes for a whirlwind of sounds.

Having released two EP's (2013's Bloodworks and 2014's Display), support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, this Brighton 5 piece are finally releasing their debut album Volition.

'Evolve' is the third single to be taken from Volition, where you'll hear lead Howard's strong vocals contrasted with an engaging bass line. This progressive electronic vibe is different to anything the band has ever done, and you can hear a real focus in the band's composition and production.

'Evolve' is a bit more upbeat in contrast to the Phoria's past work, yet it's still a beautifully melodic piece of work.

Volition is due for release June 3 via X Novo.
