Live Review: PARTYNEXTDOOR brings Toronto to the world with 'PARTYNEXTDOOR 3'

Canadian artist and member of OVO the record label owned by Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR has come out with his 3rd self titled album 'PARTYNEXTDOOR 3'.

Canadian artist and member of OVO the record label owned by fellow Toronto native Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR has come out with his 3rd self titled album 'PARTYNEXTDOOR 3' or P3 for short.

PARTYNEXTDOOR is one of the key pioneers of the Toronto R&B sound which is pushed by other artists such as Drake, The Weeknd and Majid Jordan. Toronto R&B is known for having smooth bass heavy production with the vocals taking up the majority of the mid and high end. The result sounds great and with the rest of the world catching on thanks to its frontrunners, the genre has never sounded better than on P3.

This album goes through a few different styles, varying between slow ballads and R&B bangers to even some Caribbean styled tracks. While still being close with the other 2 projects that PARTYNEXTDOOR has put out, this album has some interesting ideas that it manages to put out alongside PND's norm. It really stays true to ideas given out from other records from Toronto, but expands on them further to make something his own.

Each song on this album has a great sound to it and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a R&B fix.
