Oriental Cravings' brand new cut 'Need You' is an ominous, video game-esque trap banger that doesn't hold back, not even once.
Sometimes, our bodies just crave a banger - it's science. Thumping beats and a deep-seeded bassline can do wonders in regards to helping whatever ails someone, and ORIENTIAL CRAVINGS have given us a dose of exactly what the doctor ordered. Their latest cut, 'Need You', is perfect weekend soundtrack material, with unapologetic energy and irresistible trap goodness.
Following on from previous singles 'Toxic' and 'Katsu', 'Need You' is an ominous, video game-esque trap banger that doesn't hold back, not even once. The drop seeps into you as the bass rattles and flows through every limb, with the traditional Eastern instruments like the Koto and the Shakuhachi flute to help cut through it all so it doesn't become overwhelming.
What's more is that EVANGELINE's whimsical and haunting vocals help completely elevate the track. The way she sings 'I need you' leading up to the drop is almost a perfect sonic metaphor for the calm before the storm. On working with Evangeline, Oriental Cravings say that they were amazed at how smooth it all went.

“Working with Evie [Evangeline] was incredible," they said in a statement. "She has such a powerful and emotional voice, which really suited the dark instrumental we had created. She nailed the whole thing in a single take, which is rare with us cause we’re generally quite picky!”
