Live Review: Oliver Tank gives Message to Bear's 'Blossom' a relaxing twist in a new remix

Sydney producer Oliver Tank continues the good vibes of his debut 'OT' with a remix of 'Blossoms' by UK act Message to Bears.

OLIVER TANK is a Sydney based electronic musician, known for the smooth-as-butter singles 'Charlene' and 'Swerve' from his debut album, OT, released in April. He's returned with a remix of 'Blossoms' by UK folktronica act Message to Bears.

Oliver Tank's remix turns the chill-factor of the original up to eleven, using the original elements of morose string arrangements to accompany a subtle soundscape of piano, pads and subdued percussion. On releasing the remix he added it was a return to "old school OT vibes", and with the reliance on minimalism and atmosphere, that's a pretty apt description.

The 'Blossoms' remix is a nice after-thought to his debut, and shows that he's still tinkering away so soon after its release. Here's hoping for another cut or two to tide us over!
