The indisputable Melbourne queen of dark electronica, OK SURE is here to serve up the first taste of her debut EP Anamnesis with the lead single ‘Third Eye’. And rightly so: Ok Sure surely knows how to deliver.
‘Third Eye’ is a massive track. It is a decidedly bold move from Ok Sure as it is packed to the absolute brim with a range of dark elements – droning meanders throughout the track, the synths are sinister and there is what feels like a dark sci fi edge. The entire track could easily score a heavily-saturated space opera set in a truly grim future. The heaviness of the track is offset throughout by gentle piano, that while sometime gets lost amongst the noise, grounds it. As the first offering this year from Ok Sure, ahead of her upcoming EP – it is a strong track. 'Third Eye' goes hard and truly cements her skills as a producer who is entirely in control of her sound and developing it further with each new release.
Ok Sure is set to have a big year, less than a month in and already on the cover of GT Magazine, performing at Let Them Eat Cake and now with her upcoming EP, Anamnesis, set for release February 24th via Upside Music. Expect shows throughout Australia as Ok Sure’s brand of hypnotic dark electronica takes over.
