Live Review: LISTEN: Nakagin 'Woods + Rest'

Nakagin is becoming more than just a small-town beatmaker. He's crushing the Sydney electro scene with his skinny fists.

The ever-elusive NAKAGIN has been sharing his cruisy beats with the clubs of Sydney. He plays a lot of shows with many other hip beat-makin' cats like say Oscar + Martin and Collarbones. You remember he played the Hand Games launch at Goodgod Small Club. And he remixes musicians like Polographia. This guy is committed to his craft.

Following on from his debut EP Elsewhere’s success across the blogoshere, Nakagin is making tracks that perfectly accompany rainy Sydney mornings. Each drop is like falling rain, except you don’t want to use an umbrella. ‘Woods + Rest’ is one of these tracks, from Nakagin with love.  Get your awkward indie girl sway on and listen to this over and over. It’s chiming, it’s contemplative, it’s chill.

Get swept away in it all.

Words by Hannah Story.
