Hot Milk On Touring Australia & Refusing To Sell Out: 'We’re Never Complacent'

Live Review: Midoca 'Gotta Go'

LA newcomer Midoca puts his own take on future electro with his latest track, Gotta Go, featuring strange synths and swirling beats.

Self described as "MoodWave", LA newcomer MIDOCA's latest track 'Gotta Go' is one of the more interesting tracks I've heard in a long time. Having released just two tracks, this producer is going places, and taking "MoodWave" with him!

'Gotta Go' uses strange synths that are intriguing upon first listen. He combines this with layered samples and soulful vocal loops to create a bouncing, energetic track unlike anything else really being made at the moment.

Starting off slow and steady, with soulful male vocals echoing in and out as synths whirl around, the track breaks down with fragmented samples rising and breaking. It stops again and goes back to the atmospheric sounds it began with, the passionate male vocals on loop as the sounds swirl again.

'Gotta Go' was released along with another track titled 'Don't Leave'. Where the former is a bouncy upbeat version of future electro, the latter shows a different side to the producer with a more soulful and softer approach. The same futuristic stylings feature in both tracks, with beautifully layered synths creating atmospheric vibes throughout.

MIDOCA is a relatively quiet guy, with next to no action on his Facebook, and only two tracks on his Soundcloud. With both tracks up for free download/donation, we can only hope that this track is an indication of what's still to come!
