Reviving an old favourite is never an easy task. Many factors have to be taken into consideration, like what the diehard fans are going to think, how to take from the original but not massacre it etc.. But sometimes it just gets done right.
Young Michigan producer ACEMYTH is officially one of those successful resurrectors.
MF DOOM's 1999 track 'Doomsday' has undergone some serious treatment by this producer who has given the track a second life after over a decade. The remix does draw from the original but it most definitely has a contemporary feel about it. The track channels smooth soul mixed with some soft edgy hip hop feels and is perfect listening for a hungover Sunday morning.

The sound is something that dates the track straight back to the late 90's but instead of scrapping it altogether ACEMYTH has reworked it to keep it relevant.
