Proving herself to be one of the hardest workers on the scene, MADE IN PARIS is back again with more slimey techno bangers on new EP 'Lost Perception'.
MADE IN PARIS is back yet again with more slimey techno tinged bangers on this new EP, Lost Perception. She's proving herself to be one of the hardest working people on the scene with multiple releases over this year and a hand full of guest mix slots across the internet (including two for us) and through our radios on Triple J Mix Up. Labels like Motorik, Bloc Beat Records and Mooseekaa have all seen Made in Paris cosigns and releases in the past, however this EP was released though her own label Upon Access, which was founded to celebrate dark and melodic house/techno artists.
Insidious and brooding, the Lost Perception EP is Made in Paris in her element bringing her signature style of techno with more of a warehouse ready sound. While listening to these tracks, you can practically feel the throbbing bodies around you and the sweat dripping off the walls.
Opening the EP is 'Kairos', a driven pulsing track laced with sweeping chords and a repeated heavy bassline. The repetition of arpeggios, the bass notes and the percussion makes it feel like this song just stretches to infinity. The layers slowly move in and out of focus with multiple combinations of the same base elements, creating a living beast of a tune.

The title track is a little more subdued, but just as unrelenting. A constant warbling bass undulates and grows beneath echoing synth lines and maintained chords. This contrast in composition and slow building of tension and energy throughout the tracks prove Made in Paris is the master of balancing light and shade in her music.
Made in Paris has such a firm grasp on her sound, always delivering her brand of dark techno while continuing to surprise us. This EP will leave you satisfied and sweaty after dancing your butt off, but make sure you dry off soon though as Made in Paris is sure to release even more bangers to get you moving again. You can also check her out live in your city as she tours Aus to celebrate her new EP. - details right here
