It's been a hot minute since we heard new music from Sydney's LOVE DELUXE. The musical romantic's been busy digging, listening to new tunes and getting some new music of his own together. We dubbed him an artist to watch in 2018, and for good reason too.

Putting this one out with the good people over at Soothsayer, 'Dance Of The Lizard People' is more than just a cheery future-funk-disco amalgamation, it's a chance for Love Deluxe to flirt with conspiracies and channel that into a track.

“I love conspiracy theories,” Love Deluxe says. “Especially ones which seem absurd - I find it fascinating the lengths that people will go to believe in something which seems ridiculous, and how devoted they are to preserving their 'truth'. Yet at the same time I'm glad these people exist because not only is it entertaining but why couldn't it be true, you know?”

Dedicated to theorist David Icke and his claim that “shape-shifting reptilian aliens control Earth by taking on human form,", the Nord synth takes the lead on this one, giving his retrospective delve a variety of futuristic edges. That peppy lead you can hear running throughout the track was entirely improvised and recorded in one take.

It's great to hear Love Deluxe is back and bigger than ever, using his outlet as a means to both improvise and show off his skills as both a music consumer and educator.
