Very juicy new stuff from Glasgow's LIGHTSHIPS, the solo project of Teenage Fanclub bassist/vocalist Gerard Love - this is the RAF DADDY (AKA Raf Rundell, one half of 2 Bears) remix of his second single 'Two Lines'. The debut album from this project features a star spangled cast of musical guests including Dave McGowan and Brendan O'Hare of Teenage Fanclub fame, Tom Crossley of The Pastels and Belle & Sebastian bassist Bob Kildea.
The record is titled Electric Cables and was released just a few days ago thanks to Domino Records - grab your digital copy HERE. If you're a fan of what you're hearing above; check out the jangley, reverb soaked debut single 'Sweetness In Her Spark' HERE.
Love's distinctive vocal style is very apparent in all of this work so if you're looking for a massive departure from his Teenage Fanclub stuff - you're probably looking in the wrong place. Old fans will not be disappointed.
