Two is always better than one, and that rings especially true when it comes to new tracks from New Zealand band LEISURE.
Last week, just one new song wasn't enough for the five piece, so they decided to just drop another song the following day. We're totally okay with it though, as both releases are totally sublime exercises in soulful pop that would give frontrunners like Jungle a real run for their money.
'All Over You' came first; a slow jam with swaggering bass, seductive lyrics and tinkering beats. It's the top of track that brings out the clicking sidestep in all of us, and shows a more sensual side to their otherwise pop-styled persona. It's got some seriously searing guitar work towards the end, and it's late night, smoky vibes give an extra element to the still quite mysterious band.
Just one day later however, Leisure were back with 'Take It To The Top'; perhaps their grooviest track yet. Just when we thought they might have been heading into new territory with the slower, sexier 'All Over You', the go and do a complete 180 and release this dancefloor filler. Infectious from the get go, the sexuality is still being embraced here, but it's slightly more animalistic and d-floor oriented.
It's not often heard of that a band would deliver consistently extremely high quality tracks, but it seems Leisure are the gift that just keeps on giving. They are quickly becoming one of the most sought after acts, with their first ever tour seeing them play just one show in Sydney before showing Los Angeles, Vancouver, New York City and London what they're made of.

They've said on their Facebook page that they are hoping to release new material soon, so for now it's still a waiting game. However, if these tracks are anything to go by, we could hazard a guess they are onto something seriously good.
