Melbourne artist, LANKS sees his latest single, 'Golden Age', remixed by Godwolf and Ghost Tone, moments before being announced as Ngaiire's main support.
Melbourne artist, LANKS, pushed out his first single of 2016, 'Golden Age', subsequent to a run of Australian headline dates.
Co-produced by pal, Andrei Eremin, with artwork handcrafted by Lanks' grandmother, Valda Cuming, the track holds far more significance than what you'd initially perceive. Generously gifted to two creative friends, 'Golden Age' has since been remixed by, Godwolf and, GHOST TONE.
Where Lanks paints a native image of appropriated bird calls against intensely harsh beats, Godwolf cranks down the tempo and ruthlessly shaves back layers for a very minimalistic palette.

Although the vocal structure remains entirely solid, it's execution now sits deep in thought, as an elasticated melody springs against a hard-hitting surface; occasionally met by the break of fragmented glass that barely sounds as they place their fall.
Rather than following the same formula of drawing everything back, Ghost Tone focuses on placing emphasis and extrapolating elements found in, 'Golden Age'.
Riding the wave of the astro coast, Lanks' elongated verbal impact passes through uninterrupted, extraterrestrial plains, as a glistening synth arrangement twinkles from beneath the weight of the song. Accompanied by the sonic coding pattern of a gentle melody line, this hyperspace will leave you meditative and lifted from the mundane woes you may be enduring.
Both Godwolf and Ghost Tone's interpretations of, 'Golden Age' are available for free digital download via Lanks' Soundcloud.
Be sure to catch Lanks in your city, as he's been announced as the main support act for Ngaiire's national tour! Known for her involvement with Blue King Brown and Paul Mac, it's sure to be an incredibly special show for this Sydney solo artist.
