Here at Purple Sneakers, we're a massive supporters of burgeoning talent. This week we're here to tell you about someone whose journey we've been following pretty closely, Sydney rapper and Bodega Collective crew member, KWAME. This week marks the release of his highly anticipated debut EP, and believe us when we say, it's pure fire. One tune that really stood out to us is his track 'Feel Good.'

Co-produced with his Bodega collective homie KORKY BUCHEK, it's a tune that will definitely lives up to its title. Kwame may only be 19 but he's already leaving a mark on the Sydney hip-hop scene. He's been a regular performer on the Sydney club scene, having filled out the The World Bar venue on more than one occasion. His stage presence is infectious, Kwame has a the ability to harness raw energy, and marry it with effortless flow. There's a reason why people can't help but come back for more.

'Feel Good' opens with a gentle neo-soul RnB feel, before Kwame lays down some bars. The trap speeds up and takes on a more modern trap feel, and immediately draws you in. There's a distinctly contemporary American rap vibe though out 'Feel Good' when the auto tuned vocal loops come in above what is almost an 8-bit beat. Aside from a tight rap flow, which takes influence from the greats like Chance The Rapper, there are some almost future bass electronic moments that make this tune extra catchy. Playful and bright, the track is a vibrant addition to Kwame's growing back catalogue, and one that will truly be a stand out in his stellar live shows.
