Fusing sounds and genres with incredible ease and finesse, KRAAK & SMAAK are using their powers for rhythmic good.
The trio has been hard at work on some new tracks, and their latest features IVAR. ‘Way Back Home’ is disco, funk and house all thrown together for one huge amalgamation of sounds and sensations.
Ivar’s provided some incredibly soulful vocals for this one, and you can actually catch Ivar as part of Kraak& Smaak’s live band as they provide vocals for the trio on tour.
What stands out most in this one is the very quirky almost pulsing synth line that feels wobbly, yet extremely stable.
It’s loud where it needs to be, and quiet in all of the right places. Kraak & Smaak have worked absolute magic to get ‘Way Back Home’ to where it is. It’s gorgeous, soulful yet at the same time, is so dancefloor friendly, you’ll be getting down to it in no time.
