Known for his slow moving, emotional style of electronica, UK producer KLIMEKS is slowly becoming a frontrunner in the hiphop/chillwave scene. His latest offering, an EP titled Nightglide is no exception, and standout track Reborn is a dusky, slightly haunting track showing lots of promise from the producer.
Starting off with dark echoing synths, KLIMEKS has chosen to juxtapose that with light and delicate synth sounds to brighten things up. Although the track at times feels like it is about to take off, KLIMEKS keeps it grounded with the omnipresent dark synths swirling throughout. It's a late night track, but amped up with trap elements and spooky synths to create more intrigue and mystery.
KLIMEKS is also known for his remixes and other original tracks, with his SoundCloud constantly being updated with new material. It was his remix of WILEY's Born In The Cold that really caught people's attention though, with his stripped back, slowed down version getting a lot of Internet love.
Reborn is the opening track for KLIMEKS' EP, with each track taking on it's own version of his signature style. From the title track's hip hop beats, to the sppoky grooves of closer Beneath Me, the nocturnal sounds of KLIMEKS are not going to remain underground for much longer!
