Melbourne based artist KINGIV has shared a brand new single in the captivating, 'Like I'm Back'. Following on from her debut which premiered right here on Purple Sneakers, she is doubling down on the intricacies and uniqueness she first displayed in 'No.One', and is set to receive a whole lotta love right back.
With production straight out of left field on this one, modulated vocals fill much of the atmosphere, whilst deep emotional piano play and percussion are drenched in reverb. Every element is interesting in it's own way, making themselves heard as the song unravels and changes. Enthralling from the first second, this song pulls you in whether you like it or not.
With dynamic and textured vocals, they are modulated and layered on top each other giving her performance even more presence. Powerful from start to finish, the full range (and overflowing talent) of KingIV is on full display. The added layers of singing on top of the already rich production elevate this track into something truly unique.
KingIV shows a lot of promise and while her career is just starting, she has the talent of a veteran. We can't wait to hear more.
