Live Review: Joji teams up with Diplo and wrangles an ageing boyband for new single, 'Daylight'

Joji and Diplo wrangle an ageing boy band on set for their new single, 'Daylight', taken from Joji's forthcoming album, Nectar'.

Joji has tapped none other than Diplo for a brand new single out this week. Titled 'Daylight', it's another smooth pop track which showcases his exceptional vocals and songwriting skills, complete with a hook that will be stuck in your head long after the song has finished. Released alongside visuals courtesy of director Munachi Osegbu, the clip is a typically hilarious watch with Joji and Diplo attempting to wrangle an ageing boy band.

According to ComplexJoji said of the single, "It might be nice for people to hear a song about daylight, especially when we don't get as much of it as we used to." Diplo added, "Joji is one of my favorite artists...I'm lucky he answered my text!"

The single comes ahead of Joji's new album, Nectar, which is due out later this year. It's the latest in a string of brilliant singles including 'Gimme Love' and 'Run', and does a great job of building even more hype across the world for the 88rising artist.

Nectar is out September 25th via 88rising. Watch 'Daylight' below:
