Underground label PURE SPACE is back for their second release of 2021, delivering us the latest release for Eora Nation/Sydney outfit JOBFIT, titled 'Longer Form Cat Calls'.

Lead by ANDY GARVEY, radio show come record label Pure Space has a stacked archive of forward-thinking electronic music, and the latest from jobfit is no exception. Written over the course of 18 months, Longer Form Cat Calls is a microscopic focus into the apt world of jobfit, reflecting on Australiana textures that invoke feelings of desire, mania, illusion and disquiet.

Longer Form Cat Calls explores jobfit’s ability to digest the intersectionality of spoken word and electronic music, spotlighting the relationship between production and poetry to develop a new level of rhythmic excursion. Each track is loaded with clever percussions and intertwining vocals that drive back to the references of Pure Space, reflecting on tech house, electro and acid inspirations.

An introduction into the world of jobfit, this EP challenges the understandings of classical poetry and instead offers listeners a sense of escapism that collides with the realities of music communities, exploring their transitory nature.
