Melbourne producer JAMATAR (Jam Nawaz) has released a new dreamy track with latest single ‘Reflect’, featuring Natalie Foster.

This wizard creates music using Game Boys (aka chiptunes) and entwines its rudimentary, nostalgic tones with spatial ambiances and ultrasonic melodies, resulting in this incredibly catchy dance track reminiscent of the 1980s and 1990s.

Bursting evocative MIDI sounds, old-school bass lines and complex layers of synth pads and riffs, ‘Reflect’ is fantastically tied together with crisp, vintage drums and Foster’s ethereal vocals to create this supersonic spaceland of a tune.

‘Reflect’ was written by Foster, who was inspired by Alice Carroll’s character in the Aria animation series. In this scene, the girl is lost in space and becomes overcome with panic when she loses her reflection, but manages to surpass fear and self-doubt to discover her inner strength and identity.
