He’s one of the co-founders of Let’s Play House, an incredible house, disco and techno party that makes its way around NY. He also co-founded label On The Prowl, and to round it out, he’s also an incredible producer, responsible for some of the most innovative and forward thinking dance music in the industry.
Triple threat JACQUES RENAULT resides in Brooklyn, NY. We spoke to him in 2014 to get an insight into the mind of the artist, and also spoke to him about his relationship with Australia and some cool collectives.
He’s since been hard at work, and he’s got a new 12” coming out on July 6 called ‘Talk System’.
The first single off of the EP is of the same name, and is a steady progression of this forward thinking brand of house he’s worked so hard to not only define, but to also make distinctive as his own.
‘Talk System’ is sophisticated in its prowess, but also comes across as quite playful with the subtle vocal integration.
He uses it as an opportunity to play with layers, and weaves them in and out of one another to create this incredible amalgamation of electronic sounds, yet it’s not separate. It’s incredibly wholesome and feels crisp.
