Melbourne's IJALE has been on our radar for a while now, but his newest single, 'Break The Rules', has us particularly excited. Smooth as hell and complete with an earworm hook, IJALE is at his most versatile and impressive with this latest release.
Inspired by the old adage of being ships in the night with someone else, IJALE taps into this with an unconventional love song all about relationships that take you by surprise when you least expect it and veer you off the course you were heading in. Over a late-night, smoky beat, he effortlessly switches between singing and rapping, showing just how much he's bringing to the table more than ever before.
IJALE said of his new single, "You may have just come out of a taxing relationship and thought ‘never again’, or you’re in a period of your life in which you’ve worked hard to pave a path for yourself and yourself only; But sometimes people come into your lives and the feeling is so strong that you have no choice but to let them in."
With a handful of singles now under his belt, IJALE is proving he is one artist worth keeping both eyes firmly planted on. Hinting that there's still plenty more to come, we can't wait to hear more.
