Fresh Finds: Class Of 2025 – Aussie Acts To Add To Your Playlist

Live Review: Nite Fleit has delivered a gritty new remix of Huntly’s ‘Please’

In anticipation of their new EP, Songs In Your Name, Huntly have dropped a heavy new remix of their single 'Please', courtesy of Nite Fleit.

Melbourne three-piece Huntly have a new EP on the way, due next month, and to get the hype train rolling they’ve released a killer remix of their most recent single ‘Please’ courtesy of NITE FLEIT. Huntly are one of the newest acts to join Gab Strum’s (a.k.a Japanese Wallpaper) emerging label Neat Lawn. They describe their music as “doofs you can cry to”, built on tropical garage/two-step beats and raw, honest lyrics that speak of anguish and longing.

Nite Fleit has delivered a huge remix of ‘Please’, doing what all the best remixes do and truly making the track her own. This is no regular flip, with a new beat under the same vocals, it’s Huntly’s work taken right back to square one and rebuilt from the ground up. The vibe is switched up from melancholia to a real sense of urgency delivered through quick loops of sampled breathing, laid over a thrumming techno bass line that gives this “sad banger” a hell of a lot more grit. It’s a distinct departure from the original that takes ‘Please’ into deeper, darker territory - the mark of a top notch remix.

Huntly’s Songs In Your Name EP is out February 10 (pre-order here from January 23rd), and you can catch them in the flesh on the east coast not long after:
