If there's one thing we've come to learn about Sydney boys HUMAN MOVEMENT over the last couple of years, is that they love a good 303 and they love a good bit of acid. So much so, that they've gone and given their 2015 track 'Dancing Room' some of that filthy, acid goodness with a re-rinse.
Conceptually, an artist taking on an older track of their own is always super exciting to see, particularly when you can see just how much their style has evolved since this track. Paying homage to their fans both past and present, this rework serves as an affirmation of their direction, whilst nodding to their past too.
Where the original 'Dancing Room' took on more of a tech-house space, this re-rinse shows just how far they've come over the years. And it's damn true, looking back at the last few years of Human Movement, you can hear the progression so candidly.

After releasing with seminal dance label Defected Records, playing a run of shows in arguably what is the dance capital of the world Ibiza, playing festivals across Australia and putting out release after release that just seem to get better and better, I think they've definitely realised their sound as a duo and it's come to be something rather exciting.
Their last few releases have seen UK influence pair neatly with their penchant for the 303 Bassline synthesiser and its respective sounds. The particular sound has quite an extensive history with the commercial sale of the actual synth being a bit of a flop, but over the years, various genres and subcultures have revitalised it and recontextualised it to suit.
Human Movement are experts at applying this sound and their rework of 'Dancing Room' is yet another apt addition to their strong back catalogue. Take a peek below of the visuals to accompany the track and try not to get lost in this digital landscape.
