British duo HONNE offer up a little slice of tropicana with the title track for their new four song EP of the same name, 'Coastal Love'.
Sounding a bit like P A N A M A or Chet Faker & Flume, HONNE – a British duo who even look remarkably similar to Faker and Flume – have released the lead single from their upcoming four track EP of the same name, Coastal Love.
With guest vocals from the female part of Wilsen, HONNE offer us a little slice of tropicana. ‘Coastal Love’ is about a long distance trans-atlantic relationship; having returned to the city, it’s a throwback daydream to a holiday romance that just can’t be shaken.
The song is emotive funk-pop and, whilst there’s nothing particularly challenging or experimental about it, it is certainly a well-put together track that is confident and very listenable. It’s pretty sultry, it tells a story and it sounds great. It’s R’n’B coming to you via Barbados or some other such Caribbean island.
