Freshly mastered, DAPPLED CITIES' remix of Byron Bay quartet GLASS TOWERS' 'Jumanji' is an absolute ripper. With high rotation on Triple J and FBi, 'Jumanji' would have perked the interests of a band of Dappled Cities' calibre eventually.
The original track is not unrecognisable in the remix; Dappled Cities do, however, put their unique spin on 'Jumanji'. The first thing that you'll notice is that 'Jumanji (Dappled Cities Remix)' is noticeably more laidback with synths and reverb echoing through the song. Hand-clap snare drums and a heavy bass-line manage to avoid being stupidly overwhelming (dubstep, anybody?) and helps to keep the refreshing vibe of a true summer song.
