Live Review: LISTEN: Frames & Forrest 'Don't Mind / Losing You' EP

From the depths of Sydney comes an unruly and sub-genre-defying entity by the name of FRAMES. Boasting a love for "handclap disco, hipthrust house and letchairdown techno," the brand spankin' new EP from FRAMES & fellow producer buddy Nick FORREST (Communications Records), is all that and much more.

A 2-track foray into the realms of deep house, the 'Dont Mind /Losing You' EP takes us across a vast ocean of rolling bass lines, silken synth work, crisp percussions, and head-nod-inducing rhythmic structures. To achieve all this over the short span of two tracks is nothing short of a feat for sure, but somehow the two lads have managed to pull it off with ease.

Seeing it's official release via the boutique Sydney-based label BLOTTER ARTISTS, a label which is notorious for it's underground house gems, it's no doubt that these white-hot slabs of house have found praise from artists such as MOTEZ, YOLANDA BE COOL, CASSIAN, LANCELOT and more. You can bet that these tracks will be finding their way into DJ sets all around the country for months to come.
