Recently remixing ‘Gold’ by soulful UK singer songwriter Andreya Triana, Mike Norris – better known for his stage name, Fort Romeau has brought a twist of his own electronic sound to the song, bringing out an amazing dance track from within the original soulful composition.
Building progressively throughout the introduction of the song, the piece goes from the contemplative sound of static synth, slowly incorporating a repetitive beat which really sets the dance tone for not only the entirety of the piece, but also the climax in the second minute when the electronic vibe is fulfilled with the heavy beat and the incorporation of Andreya Triana vocal samples from Gold.
Overall the remix has brought a new electronic dance sound, unique to Fort Romeau, whilst remaining true to the original song by sampling vocals and chords from the original soul, funk piece.
