FLUME has been the name on everyone's lips in 2012. With a slew of bangin' tunes and appearances at festivals from Vivid to Splendour, the youngster has arguably become soundtrack of 2012.
And with 'Sleepless' being one of the standout tracks of the year, I couldn't hide my concern when I saw SHLOHMO had chosen to remix it. Alas, my concerns were unwarranted.
SHLOHMO has essential stripped the original track back to the bare essentials, namely its main hook and a drum track. Vocals and effects have been taken out of the equation and replaced with a low-tempo 'boom-bap' rhythm section. The remix has a soulful intensity, but it still best served chilled. Give it a spin, you won't be disappointed
