E^ST doesn't really have it in her to make a bad song, but 'I Don't Lack Imagination' might just be one of her best.

If anyone else had experienced the surge of consecutive musical victories that E^ST has had recently, you might call it luck. However, when it comes to E^ST, luck has nothing to do with it. The past 12 months have seen her give her creativity a massive jumpstart, producing some of the most interesting pop music we've heard out of the country in ages. From the hopeful 'Life Goes On' to the devastatingly honest 'Blowjob', E^ST can't stop winning. And, with her new single 'I Don't Lack Imagination', she has given us the ultimate hat-trick.

'I Don't Lack Imagination' finds comfortable middle ground between the freedom of acceptance in 'Life Goes On' and the heartbreak of 'Blowjob'. This one sees E^ST ramp herself up with a confidence and an assertiveness that we haven't seen to this extent from her so far. 'I Don't Lack Imagination' also sees her most interesting melody yet - it's an amalgamation of the ominous, the glitchy and the infectious. The distortion on her voice in the last few seconds of the song is the perfect way to wrap up a wild three minutes, but it's three minutes you'll wish lasted so much longer.

E^ST doesn't really have it in her to make a bad song, but 'I Don't Lack Imagination' might just be one of her best. It's a little strange, but still accessible. It's a little ominous, but still endearing. Most of all, it shows that E^ST is undoubtedly a badass. The song is a masterclass in diving head first into writing fearlessly creative pop music, and now she sits comfortably on top of the podium.
