Live Review: DBFC 'Staying Home'

Parisian quartet, DBFC, have just dropped their debut EP's second single, 'Staying Home'.

French quartet, DBFC are masters of their craft. Having released their debut EP, Leave My Room, late 2014, the boys have just dropped its second single, 'Staying Home'.

The second meal of this four course banquet, 'Staying Home' follows the EP's title track-  in that we continue to consume a large plate of electronica, seasoned with shoegaze and disco elements.

A meditative synth bounces off the walls repetitively, earning the tune a more relaxed environment as opposed to its predecessor. Accumulating a variety of buddying sounds along the way (including a percussive shaker, smacked beats and crooning bassline), 'Staying Home' builds a harmonious trust fund to establish a pensive composition; the perfect amalgamation to compliment the effortless vocals soaring above.

'Staying Home' is the second single from DBFC, and has been taken from their debut EP, Leave My Room; available via Different Recordings.

Words by Hannah Galvin.
