HOT TODDY is one of the guys behind the seminal band Crazy P (better known as its former self, Crazy Penis). Taking on a favourite of the dance music world CLASSIXX, Hot Toddy was enlisted to take on their brilliant track, 'Supernature'.
The LA duo have been making waves for years upon years now, so anyone who re-takes one of their originals has a lot of work on their hands. In the case of 'Supernature', the latest cut from their debut LP, Hanging Gardens (which is out 14th May people!!) - Hot Toddy was put to the task of taking a smooth down-tempo and giving it a new life.... which is exactly what he did.
Although he's kept most of the elements that make the song what it is in there, he's managed to change it's tempo completely, basically rendering it a new track. Now this up-tempo/up-beat track is the perfect vessel for swirls of synths and lingering disco beats. It's pretty chill, yet still pretty fun.
So without further adieu, I'd like to pronounce Hot Toddy, a winner of the 'I can remix Classixx well' competition that I just made up.
