ASDASFR BAWD (interesting name, correct) out of Melbourne has brought some cool, calm and colourful sounds to the table so far. And he’s got a new one coming in; his bouncing take on CIARA’s ‘Body Party’.
Her sound can be characterised by smooth R&B vocals with an incredibly hip-hop pop sensibility dancing around these obvious R&B vibes. Asdasfr Bawd's worked his magic and brought it almost down a level, but has essentially switched the game completely.
It’s chill, downbeat and incredibly well tempered. It’s got a distinct style to it that feels less R&B and way more pop, maybe even a bit more contemporary in the sense that it feels older and more mature than Ciara’s usual sound.
Asdasfr Bawd's done something really neat here, and that’s completely flipping an artist’s sound to suit theirs. And to a successful degree too.
