Live Review: 'Witness' Benjamin Booker preach the gospel

Benjamin Booker has just put out the title track to his new album called 'Witness', a soulful look into his inner feelings.

With classic funk and soul sounds from the piano and guitars, 'Witness' is a very feel good track, with a bright sound emanating from all the instruments to a powerful atmosphere.

However, it's not just the atmosphere that has us excited. Booker's voice brings our attention firmly to it, and doesn't let up for a second. With evangelical choirs adding some gospel elements to the song, making it sound grandiose, Benjamin Booker brings his vocal talents to the table and does not disappoint in bringing raw emotion and soul into the track. Mavis Staples is also featured in the track and as far as features go nothing, seems more appropriate than having a gospel icon on this track.

Benjamin Booker brings the soul on this track in the best way, and we hope that he keeps on developing his sound and pushing the envelope. If this track is any indication of what's to come, we can safely bet his new album is going to be full of good vibes.
