There seems to be a reoccurring theme in the work of LA songstress BANKS. Heaving into dark, sultry songwriting, this style has again been applied in her new track 'This Is What It Feels Like'.
The production team on this one consists of London's Lil Silva and Jamie Woon, handing the track an immediate, distinct synth line that becomes ultra recognisable for future listens. Winding and churning, this synth is as sly as it could ever be. Though it does act instrumentally as the spotlight to 'This Is What It Feels Like', it's later swapped for an abundance of echoing samples and softer beats, all of which support the effortlessly cool vocals of Banks herself.
