Two producers we're well acquainted with here at Purple Sneakers are NLV Records' newest signee in Ninajirachi and queen of everything bass-related, Anna Lunoe. Both have had a stellar year so far: Ninajirachi releasing her debut EP Lapland, touring it around the country and putting together a mix for Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1, and Lunoe announcing news of her debut EP, playing Coachella, dropping a collaborative track with Wuki, and sharing a stellar club-ready number in '303'.
What do the pair have in common? Well, today, Ninajirachi's shared her take on Lunoe's '303', bringing those floor-shaking 303 vibes into her realm of production, adding arpeggiated complexities and delicate flourishes to it. But that's not to say that it doesn't bang.
Ninajirachi brings complex percussion to the bones of this one, inviting us into her mad world of meticulous production, brought on by her years of experience in honing her craft. Lunoe's voice is pitched up, adding to the saccharine-sweet feel the melody gives off.

The drop takes the best elements of Lunoe's original, namely that monstrous 303 stab, and brings Ninajirachi's touch of fast-paced, punchy drums and ear for off-kilter sonic flourishes that add a totally new dimension to it.
Both artists let us in on their feelings of the remix, Ninajirachi saying “Anna Lunoe is a huge inspiration to girls in dance music - especially Australian girls. She was super supportive of my EP on her radio show and I was so stoked when she asked me to remix this track.”
Lunoe said “I get so excited when I see inspiring new artists come up through the ranks! It's my duty and pleasure to give them every opportunity that I possibly can to shine. Go Nina!"
Anna Lunoe's forthcoming EP is due out in June via Sweat It Out and Mad Decent.
